My intention is to create a game that focuses on storyline, individual choice, player risk, and learning the basics of Twine. Players will be faced with the dilemma of navigating the game with both risk and self control in order to win. The incentive to win and play the game properly relies on the player’s desire to inhibit the hero archetype in order to defeat the villain and save the hero’s sidekick. This will be facilitated by dialogue from the game itself, dialogue from the villain, and continually reminding players that their sidekick’s wellbeing is on the line.

As for personal growth with this project, I intend to actually understand Twine’s basic language and functions instead of just memorizing them since this is my first time using Twine. I aim to be able to work out kinks on my own, communicate with the program, and create a storyline that is easy to follow while still being interesting for players.

I really had a fun time playing through this game. The dialogue too I thought was very humorous. The concept of this game was novel. What I think is very clever is that you used Twine's text-based nature to your advantage. The player cannot see the cups, they can only rely on the text and their own faith.

This was a really cool exploration of risk! I was incredibly nervous the first time and definitely failed just from lack of courage. The story and characters were simple, sweet and very funny.  I also think it's very interesting how after my first play, the second time around the the first few decisions to pour are made very quickly with next to no consideration compared to the later ones where I felt like I was second guessing myself constantly.  This was really fun collective action as well with the four chances but possibility of losing all points.

What a cool concept! It seems very original. It was definitely a learning curve but once I got the hang of it I found it hard to stop playing. The monkey thing is funny too.

Great job, you totally created a sense of player risk

Very fun concept! I really enjoyed the humor in it. The game itself felt like a mini game that would be played in a Mario Party/Donkey Kong equivalent which I thought was clever. The  main suggestion I would give would be to maybe add an indication when the cup is getting full, to give a sense of urgency and raise the stakes.
